Default Clicking/Tapping Noise on PCCB

Hi Guys,

There is a clicking noise coming out of the front wheel arch every time I hit the brake.

I took my car to the Dealer and they can’t fix it. They tied up the plastic brake cooling panels which got loosen. But the noise was still there. Then they switch the left and right brake discs. The noise were gone! However, the PCCB brakes have L and R letters on each side. The dealer has to switch back. And noise came back.

My car is .1 gt3 with PCCB. Has anyone experienced this issue before?

Here is a video:

The click click Click Click click when coming to a complete stop?

My friends .1 with PCCB's sounded like that. This was maybe 3 years ago. I'm pretty sure the dealer replaced the front rotors and pads and it went away.

Thanks for the reply! Yes, exactly the same noise when coming to a stop and under heavy braking too.

Great to hear that your friend get this issue solved. However, my local dealer told me that Brake pads and discs are not included in the warranty. They will try to file the claim. They can’t guarantee it will come through. I am still waiting to hear from them.

I hope Porsche will do the right thing. I will keep updating.

Maybe a caliper/piston/puck issue? Did dealer check for cracked pucks?

The dealer told me that they have checked. And the noise is most likely coming from the disc. Seems like the disc has two parts which screwed together by bolts. I suspect that is where the noise coming from. I am still waiting to here from the dealer on warranty claim.
