I'm pretty new to this forum, so I guess I'm not that familiar with the back history on FAL. However, I find this "issue" to be a bit comical.

I guess I'm not real sure why it seems to matter so much to some people if someone else's car has FAL on it or not.

Don't need it.

Unfortunately, my driveway is such that I scrape going in and out. I have in the past put plywood down on the driveway/road transition, but what kind of long-term solution is that? I wish I had FAL on my cars, $3,500, but if you amortize it over the ownership life (I keep my cars a long time) it would be worth it to me. both my cars now need new spoilers, but I won't replace anytime soon, as they will just get scraped up again. I guess another solution would be sell my house, and buy another with a more suitable driveway, but that would be more than $3,500.

Need it just ot be able to park my car at home and leave home
And in our roads in France there are many bumps to limit speed in village or even in Supermarket's parkings ! Once even with lift I had a scratch

Welcome to the new and improved Rennlist... the desire to project ones own experience onto others then make judgements is popular among some members here.

Skip FAL to save $3,500 on the MSRP to lose $5-$10k on resale? Doesn't sound optional to me.

+1

I miss the days when members here respected the opinions or needs of others. We once were happy to see others share the same passion in these cars. This place has changed a lot recently.
My opinion is it’s your money..... pick the options or colors that make you happy..... That doesn’t mean your car is better or worse who chose different options.
Lets remember why we are here..... A group of people who enjoy the 991 GT cars regardless of resale prices or what options we think is superior.

I'll go OT, but IMO, Rennlist mirrors society, and perhaps even worse online so I'm not in the least bit surprised at the lack of civility.

You must not live in the northeast where our roads are awful and have speed bumps the size of hills.

Lol that’s funny!

I’ve driven 1000’s of miles in Detroit and Chicago, still don’t think I would need it there. I was mostly just bragging about my lighter-than-yours spec car sorry if it hurt RL’s feelings. I’ll go scrape my bumper now...
