Best 6 MT launch method?

Only 1300 miles on the car and still just barely willing to rev past 7K.
What is the best way to get this thing moving without going all-in on launch control? Without slipping the hell out of the clutch, the wheels slip, TC takes over, the yellow light flashes and it bogs for two seconds...

Left foot on brake (should have typed clutch instead), then floor the throttle BUT don't wait for the rev to go up past 6K. I sometimes let the revs go to 3 to 4K, then just let clutch out fairly quickly w/o side stepping it. At least that's how I do it on practice runs in autox.

I'm sorry if I'm reading this wrong, but how can you launch a manual with your left foot on the brake? Do you mean left food on clutch? Your sig reads PDK.

Sig also reads '19 touring - which isn't pdk. But I agree, can't figure out how to ever get my left foot on the brake in a launch... Please do enlighten me...

Best way to launch a GT3 is to get PDK. I never launch my Manual - just don't see the point and it puts unnecessary stress on the components.

To launch most effectively you need to slip the clutch. Dump and it'll either bog (most likely) or you'll just sit there spinning the tyres.
PDK slips the clutch like crazy during launch but I wouldn't recommend in a MT car.

I think you leave nannies on, so TC can manage best application of torque for given tire/road traction.

I owned a 996.2 GT3 for 4 years and since I used to do a lot of autox w/ PCA and SCCA, each day the car would go through about 8 medium hard and 4 hard launches so I'd imagine I must have launched the car 200 to 300 times, and at the end of 4 years, I didn't feel any clutch slippage.
Don't have any footage launching the GT3, but here's one launching a Viper. Owned the car for about 4 years and also no clutch issue after I sold the car to another member of the Viper Club and he also didn't report any issues with the transmission and clutch for the 2 years he had the car.

Every car (and condition) has its optimum rpm point where you drop the clutch for max acceleration. I’ve never done drag racing nor Auto X, so only done it occasionally over many years...
It requires a little experimentation to perfect the technique with a new car...
Since launch control uses 5k rpm, I’m guessing this is close to optimum for a do-it-yourself attempt with maximum acceleration. Reduce revs and modulate clutch for less extreme getaway.
I rarely rev over 2k before releasing clutch and then floor it after clutch totally released to avoid clutch wear (if you’re not needing 100% launch)

If you must, launch control is activated by being on level ground with warm engine. Hold clutch down with left foot, floor throttle with right foot (revs hold at 5k rpm or so), then release clutch pedal (quickly, so as to avoid slippage) and hold on (and be prepared to shift to 2nd very soon).
