Great road trip. Sorry if I missed it, but why is it being shipped for this leg of the trip?
I did the Houston to Death Valley to Yosemite to Mammoth a few years ago with a BMW group on our way to Laguna Seca. Few other stops as we were trying to hit as many states as possible. Was a great road trip. Looks like you and your son had a great trip.
Had some work commitments and wanted to see my daughter off to camp. Plus have done norther CA several times before. Oh and my wife wanted to fish the Campbell River and didn’t want to drive over 3 hrs per day.

Nice trip
After 15,000 miles over 10 weeks I am also blown away that my messed up back and neck didn’t hurt at all.
The seats just turn out to be perfect for me.
i have more back problems in my 30 way adjustable massage seats in my Sclass. Weird.

Good for you, looks like a truly wonderful trip and again thanks for sharing
Any favorite roads or sections of the trip? Also did you put the temp front plate on for Canada? Taking notes for if or when I drive my car up north
Favorites is tough. We saw a lot. For pure driving enjoyment defined as low traffic, switch backs, good roads, good visibility, high speed and no cops I would say Hwy 190 through Death Valley from Death Valley Junction to Lone Pine was the most fun drive. Close Second was the east half of the Nestuca River Rd from Willamatte Valley OR to Pacific City OR. Its sketchy bc the west half is closed and you have to take a detour that is remote and single lane but the east part of unbelievable driving. Death Valley takes the cake though. I had it on cruise control 125mph from Panamint Springs to Lone Pine. Perfect roads and beautiful. When I had to slow down to 90mph going north on 395 it felt like we were driving backwards
Yes. I put the Carbino plate holder on for Canada. Hate to say it to our Canadian friends but the Canadian customs guys are jack asses. It reminded me how much I hate being lectured by Canadians about boarder issues. Sorry had to throw that out there. They were very unwelcoming and gave us a hard time seemingly for sport.

So glad we got to meet up! What a trip- I'm going to try your route to Pacific City- sounds really awesome. Hopefully we can meet up again soon. My favorite photo of your trip:

It was great to spend time with you guys. Crazy how similar Porsche people can be aside from the cars. Jill and I are still amused by this. Hope your weekend at the track went well.

Yeah, always great to meet up. It is too funny we are all coffee geeks too!
My race didn't go great- Up to third at the start but wheel to wheel contact damaged my suspension and left me a lame duck- oh well that's racing!
Any issues with clearance getting on and off the ferries? I've used the Washington ferries many times (in rental cars), and I don't see how a GT3 (with lift) can get up/down those ramps.
