Default GT2RS WP Carbon fiber steering area pieces

Hi all,

apologies as i know there is another thread on this topic but after 3 searches I gave up. While I believe some had received the CF steering area replacement pieces many had not. Anyone have any update? My dealer is also having trouble getting info on what now seems to be Porsche simply trying hope we all forget about this.

Of course I’m pleased with the car and it’s enjoyable without these pieces and these pieces do nothing for the driving experience but at this point I feel a deal is a deal and porsche needs to get moving on this given we could have sourced the parts from a DB Carbon or similar vendor ourselves (I get that PAG’s purchasing process is complex and not very well suited to one off types of situations but this amount of delay is reaching the ridiculous point). It’s especially annoying after paying full freight for the WP and not getting the cage.

Thank you in advance.

I haven’t heard anything on mine yet either. Would be nice to have an answer or at least some kind of idea on when it will be made right.

Are these the suspension pieces under the car? My WP 3RS has a lot of them.

He’s referring to the Weissach carbon steering wheel.

There is a workshop campaign available - WJ64. Your dealer should be able to organise this as parts are available. I had the carbon steering wheel inserts installed retrofitted recently.

As owner you need to push for it. Porsche has the part in the US warehouses so it's available.

These pieces have been available since end of May. I got mine installed on May 27th. The carbon piece is actually lighter than the plastic, I weighed it

Will the dealer install the piece for free?

Contact your service advisor. They will verify availability of parts and schedule the install.
