Swapped reds for clears with a fellow RL'r. Only cost incured was the shipping/packaging. Painted the reflectors myself with color matched spray paint. T

Please share more about this color-matched spray paint! Curious how easy it is to get matched to the car and how it turned out up close.

That's probably a great bang for your buck, looks pretty good there.

For those who want it perfect and pay a lot more for it, Bumperplugs will make you custom painted ones: https://www.bumperplugs.com/index.ph...product_id=136

Red smoked from factory, really? I have only ever seen a set and they were DIYs, not OEM.

Not being a hater, I too agree the clears on the 991.1s make the whole car look cheap. Glad Porsche did not do this for the 991.2s.

Even the clears on the new generation, 718s, Cayenne Coupes, it looks cheap for some reason even on a black car where everything hides itself.

Counterpoint, see the clear tail lights tinted dark, it's a slick look (better than just clear I think):

For my own car I would have put the factory tinted tail lights on except I didn't think I could easily match the light bar, so I had them spray tinted when I did my PPF.

Haha, what happened Richard? I don't think it's us that swayed you to change back to the OEM smoked reds on the RS.

Here is my car with the RS tail lights and tinted reflectors. As I mentioned before I like this combo with the GT silver. The RS versions have a black plastic main body while the OEM GT3's are white which gives the RS version the "tinted" look. The RS versions are kind of expensive new vs the clear, I got mine here on the buy and sell.
