Does build date matter to you?

Does build date matter when I go to sell the car in the future? Or would late builds tend to have fewer problems? It’s such a short production run anyway, would they really learn anything in production between the first cars produced and the 1000th one produced? I know we hate value threads, but I’m negotiating now so it’s useful to be armed with the justifications. I’d also hate to be the one to buy a lemon. Thanks!

Just extra warranty time and in theory less wear and tear on the newer cars. Makes less of a difference over time, but a 9/17 build v. an 11/18 (for a 2018) or a 3/19 build (for a 2019) is a lot of time/warranty even though basically nothing changed throughout the run other than available options.

not a porsche, only on ferrari. Those f car built after their summer vacation (Oct) tends to have updated software or sometimes even hardware despite the same model year.

Exact build date, not so much... but final year of production is highly preferred.
