It's the nature of the beast. I don't care how good a deal it is. I still ask for a discount to see if there is any money left in a deal. I bought a Cayman for my sons to track a couple weeks ago. The Cayman I bought was by far the best deal out there. I offered $5k less. He countered with "I have 2 other offers already that are at asking, but have to get financing". So I quickly wired him the full price and picked it up 2 days later.

It's the seats. It's also a fake market where owners/dealers want everyone to believe these cars are worth significantly more than they are trading for, as a whole. Of course there are exceptions.

Amen!! I'm sure the dealers want to bang it down $10-15k - not surprising. Low ball offers p* me off.

Its people like OP why ADM exists.

Do your homework. Cars are everywhere. There was a GT3 here last week, 176k msrp, guy could not sell it for 20k BELOW msrp. That is 991.2, LWB, PCCB. Its one of those “value” specs.

You have to be stupid to not pay under MSRP.

I have been following this market for a year. I can tell you a dozen dealers who still have GT3s on their lots from 6 months ago. They have so many that they dont even keep them in the showroom anymore, they are collecting dust/pollen/bird droppings.

Wait 3 more months and the market will be even worse. Same will happen to RS as it did with 991.1.

Porsche will release the new 992 GT3 next spring. So there will be even more GT3s in the market.

Gee I thought I was doing my homework by asking questions of fellow members with more experience than me and I would never put anyone down for asking for help!

Pretty harsh - not like he pulled the trigger on a massive ADM. He's trying to research and looks like he'll take the good advice he's been given.

But yes, I wouldn't even pay MSRP for anything with miles on it - there's a 2019 RS for sale UNDER msrp in the classifieds and it was up at least a week - not sure if it still is, but that should tell you the state of the market.

Harsh - he's just asking. Obviously he's not an expert like you.

OP - no way on planet i would pay over MSRP unless its super-unique or it has extras (paint correction, wrap, exhaust, CPO etc.) etc. PDK are the softest - IMO to Tourings holding up well at over MSRP.
