I'd sit tight and watch how things unfold with an openness to consider either 991.2 or 992 as we learn more about both the 992 spec and the 991.2 price decrease that will surely come.
bingo. Makes perfect sense. Thank you.

Typically people want what they can’t have. There are a finite number of 991.2 tourings and pretty much anyone who can afford it will be able to get a 992 touring.

Let’s see what the 992 touring looks like when it comes out but if it’s anything like the winged 992, it will be much less subtle than the OG. Not to mention, the tech inside the 992 is going beyond what a GT3 is all about, think it loses a few points in originality there.

I had been out of town for a month and, after seeing these huge prices, was thinking about listing my Touring when I got home..... Got home a few days ago and dusted her off yesterday and took her for a spin... Definitely NOT listing it for sale.

I don’t know, these are just my opinions, maybe i’m biased, the feeling of extreme excitement after the release of the 991.2 lasted for so many months right up to delivery of the car... I haven’t been able to get excited about the 992 yet.

It is always amusing to hear the members always discussing how the new version will cause a landslide selloff and drop in price of the outgoing model.
Perhaps it would more insightful if people thought about the factory shutdowns and bottlenecks in manufacturing around the world due to Covid. Add to that the "free money" from crazy low interest rates and business owners receiving PPP funding from the government.
Touring prices have not fallen off the cliff and if anything have trampolined upwards beyond logic.
Full disclosure, I own a 2019 Touring which I am not planning on selling because I don't know what I would replace it with.
With the things the way they are, there are many things that make no sense. The stock market still climbing up (though tech and growth were beaten down a bit), Rolex SS watches prices are going through the roof and the Porsche prices doing the same thing.
Supply and demand is obviously at work but there must be other factors involved that are above my pay grade.
One can either wait on the sidelines or play in the game. Monday morning quarterbacks don't count (even though that phrase no longer holds...).
I have no desire to move to a 992 and I have owned a 997.1 GT3 and a 991.1 GT3 before my Touring. Life is too short to try to guess the market!
