Insurance for young GT3RS Owner

I will echo others. For California, $400 is way cheap. Almost sounds to good to be true....even made me think that this is a Troll post. I have a 22 year old with no tickets in LA with an economy car, no tickets, and through USAA with minimal coverage the cost is over $200/month. I truly can't believe that any insurance company in their right mind would insure a 21 year old male on this car.

At $400/mo, you're getting off cheap considering location, age and the price of the vehicle, IMO.

I was paying about $250 a month from age 18-24 for a 944S back in the mid 90's. A car worth around $10k at the time. $400 for a GT3RS is a steal.
If you keep your record clean the rates should plummet when you turn 24, and even more if you get married.

No need to post pics to prove ownership or that you deserve it. I don't think anyone here was questioning the premise I'm in the bay area as well and have seen lots of young GT car owners given tech money. I'm "young" too relative to the typical porsche owner. I see my share of nice cars in the Google parking lot daily. I just chose to get it a little bit later after buying a house first and getting to engineering manager -so I might actually be above average in age in the bay when it comes to GT car ownership..=).

I believe you have the car, however buying a GT3RS as your only car and then concerning yourself with $4800 a year in insurance is a little ridiculous. Assuming you can actually afford this car (and everything that goes with it) the insurance cost should be completely acceptable.
