What was your oil temp when you hammered it in first gear and hit 9000 RPM?

Anything under 9 is not a overrev. You're fine and just be careful

There's a difference between a troll, and someone who is looking for reassurance about an issue on a car that is probably new to him. It's an innocent question, and there's certainly no reason to rebuke him. We were all novices at some point.

Skip to 4:55 to see the shift...or watch the start of the race and enjoy!

I have 2 of those 8th civic money shifts good thing K20Z3 aren’t too expensive.

And that's why I choose to race a cheap Honda and not a Porsche.

Talk about weird feelings in the GT3, try shifting through a cruise control set point and have it pick up after the shift . That was nice

Do these cars calculate overrevs based on oil temp? I think the 997TT cars record an overrev if say you hit 6.5krpm with the oil temp sitting <100*. Regardless, the handwringing over DME reports when these 9k 6MT screamers start trading on the secondary market en masse in a few years will be something to behold. I plan to pick one up in a few years with a WTB ad that reads "WTB: clapped out .2GT3 with documented range 6 action, unload your money shift albatross here..."
