991.2 GT3RS for my son!

After reading some more responses I am dumbfounded. You realize you are the parent and are buying him a car. Who gives a damn what he thinks he is getting a free car. You should just get him a new Volvo. Extremely safe and nice at the same fine. If he doesn't like what you get him tell him to walk and get what he wants himself.

Why all the hate? I don't get it. This poor guy came here asking for some advice and instead is getting bombarded by insults. Listen my friend. Don't listen to these clowns. If you can do it and you think your son deserves it and is mature enough to not only be able to drive a car like this but also stay grounded and hungry. Go ahead. More power to you. I never had anything handed to me. But don't hate people who do. Life is short. Do what you think is right.

Stock cars were so slow when I was 17.
Five-ish seconds to go 0-60 was amazing.
A 1/4 mile in 13.mumble seconds was incredible.
If I had my TTS when I was 17, I would be dead.
Mentally, I have only matured slightly since I was 17, so I play it safe and drive to work in a Volkswagen.

you are absolutely right, desire is something all kids need, its foolish all these dumb *** parents who give their kids everything, because they "want them to have everything I didnt as a child", you create an entitled spoiled socialist who never had to work for a damn thing, however the future is more bleak all these mind numbed idiots who have brainwashed by teachers wont drive, kids don't want cars they want phones, driving will be for the lower classes who serve by providing uber services-word/GM no longer make cars for this reason.
all i know is this , whoever created this thread is laughing at how stupid we all are

i could've believed it until the OP said he did several ED for AMGs, nobody could be that naive about this situation of that were true. buying a rapidly deprecating asset navigating Europe requires some sense/skill
Think about this scenario, What if OP didnt earn money its from family, hes not too sophisticated in his 50/60s doctor/dentist/engineer married a totally chick in her mid late 30s or Russian mail order bride, she's gives him best sexes ever! he wants to be in her good graces, kid isn't too bad, had a "rough few years" with alcoholic or inmate/parolee dad, kids made a "few investments" (a few shares apple/boeing from paper route), so OP says what the hell, mind drunk with pu--y the mom not too sophisticated either, it could happen, Ive seen similar stupid things go on

Also, this level of disrespect is supposed to be against the rules of this forum, but I guess not. Let me clear some things up. I am not a doctor nor dentist nor engineer. My wife is only a couple of years younger than me, and talking about my wife like that is extremely disrespectful. I have never been arrested nor have I even ever taken a sip of alcohol (religious reasons). My son has a few shares in some great companies, you are correct. My wife is an extremely intelligent lady and does not deserve to be talked to this way.

I got into a serious accident as a kid when I was 16, I was in my mom's Benz speeding very fast. Walked away ok and no harm to anyone or anything but the car thankfully. I loved cars growing up, but had a small SUV at the time
My mom's Benz was 1/100th the car that a GT3RS is, hard to imagine that I would have still been alive in that situation if the cars were switched
so in all seriousness I would highly advise you against buying your son this insanely powerful car, not a great idea IMO. there will be a time inevitably that he wants to test the car's speed and limits and the car can bite
