with that crud in the air-filters cleaned, the car would breathe a-lot better. It was noticeable.

It is a friggin CAR, and actually the maintenance items are relatively easy to get to. I had the 4 year service done on my 1.1 and it re-CPO'd as part of the purchase deal. Also I made sure they replaced the serpentine belt, not just inspect it. I was able to hang around the shop off and on while the tech twiddled his thumbs for 6 of the supposed 8.5 hours this service takes. On a lift with the wheels off, the plugs are super easy to get to.

Yea, $3k quoted on another car I was looking at is friggin' nuts. I guess they are used to people saying OK Do It and rejoicing about the credit card points they are getting.

I hate oiled filters like BMC. Has anyone found paper for touring filters yet? The round ones I think. Anyway, that amount of junk is normal on anything with side vents.
