Default 911 GT3 991.2 wheel well scraches

I am wondering if anyone else with PCCB has noticed circumferential scraches around the wheel wells. I have the Matt black alloys and I noticed that my front wheel drivers side had multiple circumferential scraches around almost the whole cirumference of the wheel well. They are in perfect alignment with the brake disc and caliper. The car has never been tracked. I assume its gravel or a stone which got caught between the caliper and the wheel well.as the distance is so tight with the PCCB caliper. I don't recall hearing.anything odd and I'm not sure if it was there when i bought the car. I was thinking that it could have been damaged if the wheel was removed and resited for a tyre change or something. The car only had 1600 miles when I bought it.
has anyone else experienced this issue. I think I will need to get the wheel repainted as I'm.quite OCD about scraches.

Not uncommon for a rock to get caught in the caliper and scratch the wheel barrel. There are other threads on the topic.

badge of honour... wear them with pride!
I freaked out about my first 2 had them repaired and all! Now I drive with a close eye on the road for pebbles!

Wheel barrel....wheel well is the inside parts of the fender.....ok...so...yes as others say...you can get a pebble stuck and scrap the inside of the wheels...wheel barrel.

Timely topic as I just washed by 991.2 GT3 (PCCBs) last night and noticed the front passenger rotor was scratched then the inside of the rim as well. I’m assuming you’re referring to the inside of the rim aligned with the caliper and rotor? I’m thinking it’s just cosmetic because the car drives/brakes fine. I can’t imagine where/when this would have happened and if I should repair rim or not.

My 991.2 GTS front wheel got the same thing when a pebble got lodged between the caliper and barrell. I was going slowly up to a stop sign when it happened. Dealer says the cost to repair is $200 - $300. They want to strip the entire wheel, fix and respray. Caliper has some damage to some degree I am sure. Functionality is still fine. There have already been some folks on Rennlist who changed wheels out for more clearance and others had theirs repaired. Some leave it be. I am still deciding myself.
