Private sellers seem to be getting a little more realistic. This particular car has been listed since middle of last year. Started out in the high 300's; now $318 ask. That's well below MSRP for a 164mi car.

Chatter on new GT cars will continue to ramp up from here and there's nothing unique enough about these cars, unlike say a 997.2 3RS 4.0L, to make them collector items (at least for quite a few years). 992 GT cars will exceed current gen - performance, price, numbers - of that you can be sure.

At least - slightly more for PTS cars in a desirable color, less for cars with low-spec builds or without Mg wheels.

None of the above takes away from the fact that it's an awesome car. Just don't kid yourself that they won't continue to depreciate.
I love how those greedy stealers are sitting on cars that depreciate by the week, let them take a bath on the cars for not having realistic asking prices. Tables have turned b1tches.

Great stuff. Are there any stats on how many 2RS were PTS and which colors those were?

I mentioned this in the past, some very good porsche contacts stated our numbers are wrong and laughed. How could that be? Specifically stated those stats on the gt2rs are high but wouldnt follow through and tell me details why. Thoughts? Just keeping the mystery alive?

Do you have the Vin range for the gt2rs? I'm happy to run an automated script against vin analytics to verify

that would be great however not every vin populates a build sheet so the numbers will be low. you have to use carfax/autocheck as well to get more accurate numbers.

here are the VIN ranges for all 991 GT3/RS models. I’ll try and locate the vin ranges for 2018 and 2019 GT2RS.

NA 2019 GT3RS I have narrowed down to KS164064 through KS165951.

if you can also run NA 2019 Speedster it would be great (KS172001-KS174000).

Is it possible vin produced but not actually built? Seems strange but they would share more details.

no, the other way around. There are multiple cars/vins that were produced but for some reason don’t populate a build sheet. Not sure what the reasoning is, maybe dealer demos or they were used for media events or journalists or something?

this is why you have to use dealersite/vinanalytics to check how many build sheets and then also use carfax/autocheck to verify how many in the range are actual VINs through NHTSA.

my production numbers above use both of these techniques as well as thousands of VINS hand checked and every option input into a spreadsheet to break out options.

You can cross reference VINs with a PIWIS (if you have access to one) to see if it's a valid car, but it doesn't lend itself to automation with a large number of VINs.
