Had those seats in my GT4.... killed my back after 30 minutes. Sucks big time.... especially that I love how they look.

Went with 18 ways this time around.

More and more concerns about these seats, i hope the mothership is watching, and making future adjustments.

I have significant back problems both in the lumbar and cirvical areas and I'm also over 70 so not as flexible. That said I have LWBs in my 987 Spyder and would not trade them. I could never get comfortable in a late 911 with the 18 way. I just could not find a good setting. As for lumbar support, since the seating ( and back cushions are held in by velcro it is very easy to just pull out the back portion and place a small foam pad where you need it. That has and does work for me.

Do you stuff it in behind the seat cover?

I have back issues and always hard for me to sit in any seat for more than 60-90 minutes. LWBs in my GT3 were no exception and caused a lot of discomfort after about 30 minutes. However, bought this OMP lumbar pad from Amazon and with this the LWB seats are now the most comfortable out of any car I own and have had no problems sitting for 2+ hour drives.

I use this pillow - works very well and easy to adjust amount of air for varying size/firmness:

I found that the lumbar support was lacking. I bought a piece of memory foam stuffed it into the lumbar area behind the seat cushion and now it's as if the seat was custom-made for me.
I did the same with my GT4 and the improvement was astonishing.

Whoa does this fit the pad width of the LWB? looks like a great option.

Had LWB in GT4 and loved the look, hated the ride after about an hour. New GT3T has 18 way--took delivery at PEC Atlanta and drove 900 miles over three days. Great trip, great ride, and the seats are terrific.

No fusions here, but two discectomies (L4/L5 and L5/S1), dislocated and surgically repaired hip and pelvis, double femur breaks - one held together by a titanium rod from hip to knee, and surgery on both knees. And the LWBs are the best seat I've ever used in terms of support and comfort. I've done an 8 hour day, including 3 hours straight, in them with no fatigue or pain. I would never buy another Porsche without LWBs.

I have LWBS in both GT4s and have done 10+ hours in LWBS on several trips. They fit me very well and impress me with their comfort.
That being said, I have 4 ways in 997.2 GT3 and they hold me in place, are comfortable and supportive. These are the lowest option seat Porsche offers and they are simply great

Any Porsche seat option is going to do the job well, I am convinced.

Contrary, try driving an Alfa 8C for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Those seats are hard as rock and passengers will start cursing at you if you don't stop once an hour! LOL

I've had a cayman R & GT4, both with LWBs, 18 way in the GTS and now 4 way in the GT3. While I have no major complaints from a comfort stand point with any of them I'm finding I like these 4 way sport seats in the GT3 the best. I feel like they hold me in just as well as the LWBs and fit me the best. I would say I found the 18 way to be the least comfortable.
