GT3 Touring Questions...
Ok, GT3 touring inbound on Wednesday. I have a few questions regrading nitpick items on the car below. I will post pictures upon arrival, she's PTS and right to my liking.
1. The doors use handles instead of pulls - is there a way to swap over to pull straps?
2. Third brake light - the strip above the third brake light is gloss black rather than body color, has anyone removed and color matched this?
3. shift **** - I hate the silver plastic. The 911R one is nearly $1k, any other options? seems crazy

Function first sells a ****. On backorder currently I understand. Have one in my 993. It’s nice.
There are factory wood, CF, and brushed aluminium shifters. I’d wait to get the black speedster **** as I assume that is what it will have.

Thanks. Not into the FF ****, want to keep it factory. I like the idea of wood since its a touring, but specced the interior with carbon fiber. Hmmmm.

2. Third brake light : yes remove it and paint to match PUKE GREEN. a few friends done it, I was doing it too but sold the car before paint came back. painter too slow.
3. shift **** - I hate the silver plastic: just get the R one. it's legit.

1. Door panels are different. It is not an easy swap at all. I don’t think anyone has actually done it.
3. The only differences among the upgraded ***** is the trim and center. A 911R **** is a 6 speed boxster CF **** with a black top center.

I bought the R **** for mine. I have to admit, while nice, for 1k I was pretty damn underwhelmed. At least it matches the deviated chalk stitching in the rest of my car.

It is certainly much nicer than the stock piece, but its basically just the stock **** with the silver bit replaced by a tiny amount of CF that gets totally lost in the dark interior and surrounding CF. Still just a little bit more personalized though, and in the end, a grand for anything on these cars is within expectations.

The standard door pull cannot be swapped w/ the strap because the door panel is different. Strap was ordered as CXX by some on this forum. I did the pull in leather w/ stitching from Exclusive Options.
