Soooo my SA is telling me there is a hold on my car at the port of Houston due to a delayed inspection that is affected by the goverment shutdown. She feels the car will not be released until the shutdown is over. She said the hold is specific to MY19 GT cars only and MY18 cars are not affected. Anyone else hearing this?

It talked to pcna and they had a similar explanation. The said the status of my car is "pending inspection" with no expected delivery date listed. They could neither confirm or deny the government shut down theory , lol. Don't most cars get an expected delivery date as soon as they come off the boat?

My dealership had 2 GT cars delivered early this week off the Viking Queen. One holdup could be many of the transport trucks are/were out west because of the auctions. Realistic has a heavy presence out there and they are Porsche's carrier at least out of Jacksonville.
Seems like some SA's just make up whatever comes to mind.

Hennessy... they usually get their cars off in good time.
My car is unloaded and at the port. For those of you waiting for this slow coach of a boat to get to Houston... good news is that its departed from JAX... bad news is that new recruits manning this raft are probably hungover and heading to Cuba instead of Houston!
