Out of the box it definitely doesn't work well. The chuck isn't made to the right specs.
Since PCNA was kind enough to provide these to GT3RS owners, I would like to offer my services to anyone who receives a GT3RS tire pressure gauge and would like to have it updated to fit the OEM heavy duty valve stems used on the GT car wheels. I have already updated mine and verified that it now fits the valve stem properly, I described the fix in RS Gift Received Post #22 the modification is simply providing a little clearance in the last 1/8" of the end fitting.

2. Remove the end fitting from your gauge, it simply unscrews. Remove and retain the rubber seal from the end fitting. It can be easily pushed out with a blunt object like a small Philips screwdriver.
3. Mail me your end fitting, contact me via PM for my mailing address, in a bubble mailer. Include a stamped, self addressed bubble mailer in the package.
4. I'll update your end fitting, test it on my car with my gauge and send it right back to you.
