CSM Performance LLC Precision Hub Stands

These are great! Do you have a set-up that works for Porsche center locks?
|
Yes we do! We've made sets for Cup cars as well as GT3s. We machine the Hub Mount Plates to accept the Rotor Drive Pins and machine a centerlock mount which concentrically locates in the centerbore of the Hub Mount Plate and mates to the centerlock nut. We can go multiple different routes varying from retaining the standard 5-Lug plate to making a custom plate altogether for specific needs. A centerlock setup is an additional cost option due to the extra machining and parts so if you're interested shoot us a PM or contact us through our website @: https://csmperformance.com/home/

Will they work on Mustangs?
|
The standard 5-Lug Hub Mount Plates will fit all 5-Lug Mustangs but the 4-Lug (older 4 and 6 cylinder, Fox Body and prior) Mustangs require the 4 Lug Hub Mount Plate. Most Mustangs use a 5x4.5" pattern which our standard plate accommodates.

So I just got my Hubstands in from CSM.
I have a 2-post lift and do alignments and corner balance on my 991.2 GT3 Cup. I have Intercomp levelers and wireless scales. Last time I corner balanced the car, had to settle it down by rolling, bouncing on it, turning the steering wheel multiple times, hoping that there was no binding. Then the continuous process of removing the tire, making small adjustments to the perch, reinstalling tire, rolling car, bouncing both sides, turning wheel left/right, and then hoping for consistency/accuracy. With these hubstands, my life was made so much easier. Colton made special adapters to fit my 991.2 GT3 RS and 991.2 GT3 Cup, so now I can align / balance both. I was able to do a good number of minor iterations that yield repeatable results across measurements. Corner balance car in like 20 minutes after getting everything setup. I'm going to do alignment in the next couple days and can't wait. This should be pretty easy. BTW - This is with 210# driver ballast (using three 73# kettle bells) and 13.5 gallons of fuel. Any questions, let me know. Great high quality product! https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...1eb2dc458e.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...e93a366cd2.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...96dadb9cf9.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...cf08a17179.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...9fd3d27ad3.jpg |

So I've been using the CSM hubstands now for about a year on my GT3 Cup and a few friend's 991 GT3/GT3 RS. This past weekend I had to do an corner balance / alignment on a buddy's Audi TCR using the "old school" method of strings with the wheel installed. What a pain. I will never offer to align a friend's car unless the car accepts hubstands. Measurements to 1mm accuracy using tires on the car are not realistically precise.
Using the CSM hubstands, my two-post lift, and with my Intercomp scales, corner balance/alignment takes about 1.5 hours on the 991 Cup. Thanks Colton, for a great product that is a huge time saver, back saver, and integral part of accurate/repeatable car setup. |
