Raptor > Rover btw
Trying to convince the girlfriend to let me trade in our Range Rover Sport for a Raptor, but the fact that our friend has had the mirror of his Raptor ripped off my a city bus twice now isn't helping matters (we live downtown).

I had 2 of the previous model raptors, one of which was a roush. It was a good truck and pretty fast but has no towing ability and sucked in the snow. Don't know if many of you have driven the new one in the snow, but I'm curious of your thoughts. After the raptor, I went tundra and currently have a tundra trd pro which has been great in the snow and for daily use when I don't want to drive the m5.

I bought an ‘11 C63 new for less than $70k. Fun to drive and rock solid. I’ll never sell it. More enjoyable on the road than the 991 GT3.

I daily drove my GT3 a lot, but when I wasn’t using it, I drove a VW GTI. It was a great daily.

My my buddy has a 991 GTS and a Raptor. Drives the Raptor all the time. Loves it, even more so than the GTS. Raptor been his favorite vehicle he has ever owned.

Raptor does suck for towing. Will barely tow your car on an open trailer. Amazing driving backroads and dirt trails though. In AZ, snow is farthest thing from my mind.

It's not the vehicle giving you the issues in the snow, it's the tires. The tires that come on the Raptor are not made for snow. I'm sure if the right tires for the snow were on the truck it would be pretty much unstoppable.

Agree that in southwest usa that snow is not a thing we fret over.

Also agree that snow tires make any vehicle a lot better.

Group buy/ Snow Raptor Rally meetup?
Where do we go? Utah? Colorado?

Is all this love for the Raptor with the previous V8 or the newer 6cyl?

Is it true they are bringing back the V8? I have a ram 2500 Cummins diesel mega cab and have thought about trading for the raptor. I’m worried I will miss the ease of towing. I basically can move anything if I can hook up to it.

That Cummins diesel power is awesome. Such an effortless amount of torque I love the way they drive, a real truck.

I imagine most of this talk is about the version 2 of the raptor that started in 2017 which is the V6 motor. Doesn't sound as cool as the V8 but it has more power and is faster. As for a V8 coming back, I highly doubt it, but you never know. I ask this question to my Ford guy every year and he keeps saying no.

I have been going back and forth between the Panamera Sport Turismo (4S), M5 and E63s Wagon. Have an E63s Wagon sitting at the port now (deposit but could back out anytime), waiting for release of 2019 E63s from MB. Thinking about the cost and it does cause some hesitation, especially with the lowering module/tune from RennTech and the Vossen wheels that will go on once I pick it up.

Test drove M5 and it was great but BORING looking. It was fast and comfortable but didn't feel as special as a car at this level should...the Panamera ST is beautiful but not aggressive enough. E63s Wagon seems to check every box. Yes a DD should be comfortable but I want to be excited to drive. No matter what day it is or where I am going.

FWIW, prior to current DD I had a modified X5M (2015) and it was the best car I have ever owned.
