Car is pretty stiff and doesn't flex enough for the windshield as mentioned above = cracks especially when compromised with substantial chips...........but sounds like it is the stiffness of the chassis.........and a collection of all things coming together in a bad way at the right time........

The McLaren carbon monocoque is stiffer. A McLaren has no such issues with the windshield, however.

Agree it sounds like a collection of bad things happening siamotainously, but would argue the opposite of it being too stiff - there is something weaker than it should be. The Cup tubs fatigue over their life and a good indication of their life cycle is when they start cracking windshields as there it too much flex from things breaking down. In this case, wondering if there is a change in the tub that isn't working as it should and causing excess movement = windshield being the victim.

Worst windshields ever. Look at them the wrong way and they'll get pitted AF.

I use Clearplex film, which has saved me from front glass replacement at least once.

Replaced my windshield on my .2 GT3 as well and I think I paid around $1500? That was from a direct hit on the Autobahn trying to chase vmax (didn't get close)

What's annoying is I already have another small chip in the new windshield, not sure if there's something going on with PAG's windshield supplier..

No but it all worked out in the end, just had it replaced while my car was going through paint correction/PPF. Unfortunately they weren't much help in my case post delivery pre drop off which was quite surprising all things considered
