Nevada registration

A posted a copy of the statute
Where does it say the Total MSRP ?
The law says options and extras are excluded. The law is pretty clear
Those saying it's the total MSRP, how are you getting to that conclusion. If need be I'll hire a lawyer. First I'll try my State Senators Office, then contact the media.

As already stated, "options and extras" would be extended warranties, dealer installed accessories, ADM, etc.
By all means, be sure to alert the media...

I'm sure the media is not going to be interested with someone that owns a $200k car, angry over a $400 difference in registration fees. You can seek an attorney who would love to take your money and probably have no resolution, that is after all, your right.

thats the way I would also interpret the statute.

This would be the logical interpretation. Somehow the Nevada DMV which does this all day is somehow pulling a fast one for an extra $1,100??
OP .. relax and realize you're wrong here.

I paid my NV registration taxes calculated off of my Total Price as well for the RS. They were not able to do anything over the phone and told me to go into my local DMV office. I tried the registration fee estimator on the NV DMV website and if I put in my VIN # it pulls up the Total Price as well. I'll plan on heading to my local office in a few weeks, so I'll check on this then as well. Let me know if you have any luck till then.
Agree that the law is poorly written but it’s pretty obvious that it’s the MSRP as constructed by the manufacturer.

Is it really worth hiring an attorney or wasting your time for $400? If so, I'm trying to figure out how you got the money to buy a 3RS?! You won't win and you will waste more time than it's worth. Go make more money with that time and forget about it.

Tough crowd here.
I'm not trying to get out of any taxes, I am willing to pay what the law requires. However, I won't roll over when the statute says options are excluded. The law makers went out of their way to word the law with "options" extras excluded.
