Reading through some of the posts on the GT3 section since I just picked up an 18 GT3 Touring. Do we know the production dates for cars with this issue and was there a service bulletin for this issue? Thanks

Reviving this thread because mine has sprung another leak from the oil tank - 5 year old Gen2, 20,000km and needs its 4th tank. Dealer is speaking to Porsche to see if they will cover the replacement since the car is out of warranty and the last one lasted since the end of 2019.

Does anyone know if there is an alternative tank, either aftermarket or from another model or if there is a known fix?

The 992 GT3 and 718 GT4 RS use a carbon fiber tank instead, but I am not sure whether it can be retrofit into the 991 or not.

Possibly. I will ask my dealer but from what I have read, its not been without its issues either!

Totally without issue if you buy a new one. Just a few of the tanks made in 2021 had issues (and even most of the 2021’s have been fine).
