Test drove MT 18 GT3, ridiculously awesome, tried the power shifting, mind blowing. Anyway, about to buy one of two, but cant decide, so wanted to see general consensus from you guys. Both cars have same sale price, similar mileage along with these core items I wanted: MT, 18 way seats, extended fuel tank, Bose, PDLS, FAL, steel brakes, heated seats, black rims, dimming mirrors, chrono, floor mats.
Car A - Chalk - msrp 166k
has no wrap, so adding xpel will add 4K for whole body.
Car B - White Metallic - msrp 171k
Has front xpel w/ceramic coating, leather interior black/grey, light design, back of seats leather and bunch of other items that doesn't really matter to me.
I am leaning towards the chalk as its a cooler color and I think it will have better resale vs the white. Or should I wait for car with GBM to become available, that was my dream color?
YMMV. But seeing this indoors and then at PEC LA (on a Touring with dealer plates), it had a pretty subtle effect. Chalk was impressive in a way that the white metallic never did for me. I can see where the off-white might make one concerned about it seeming "dirty", but it doesn't really have that effect in person. For me, at least.

Aku,
I beg to differ, if I were in your shoes, I would wait until GBM becomes available. If GBM is your dream color, do not settle anything else. I would disagree in terms of chalk having "better" resale value compared to white cars. Just look
at used car sales/sites, there are almost as many chalk cars on sale vs. white cars. Also per CamsPorsche data, chalk was the number 1 color ordered, therefore not surprising to
more chalk cars available in the near future.

Starting in September, a lot more cars are coming to the US (based on the EU sales issue as well as the when is your allocation thread). The market should expand then especially as it marks the beginning of the end of driving season in places with weather.

also the CWM has ~8k more in options based on msrps and than CWM is $720 v. 4K plus for chalk.
to me chalk is subtly cool and all
but just doesn't have the pop
the bold statement of presences
That is so fittingly appropriate for a GT car
white is right

So, you expect more cars for sale and thus prices to come down a bit? Currently, the two cars are going for about $184k, so not sure if I can find any cars next few months for a lower price range?

Yes, I do agree with your suggestion, but what are the odds of finding a MT, GBM with 18 ways, FAL, Extended tank, heated seats and white dials, my real preferred dream setup? Currently almost 90% of GT3's have buckets, out of other 10%, only about 6% have 18 ways, so I am looking for a unicorn. I was pretty upset about losing my build (June 29th) after dealer told me it was rejected due to no more GBM and 2nd choice also got rejected, Sapphire blue, so I have realized its not the end of the world if a I get another color, because at the end of the day, driving a MT GT3 and powershifting, hitting 9k, etc is the ultimate goal.

184k is not bad on a 171k MSRP with xpel. But yes, I expect more cars and the price to come down a little in the fall. Could be wrong, of course.
