Sound system in a GT3 Touring
Does anyone have any experience with upgrading the Bose system in the 991 cars. I don’t want to modify the location of the drivers so everything looks stock except for the sub which I am thinking could work in an infinite baffle configuration.
I have some audio equipment lying around and am thinking of using it in the Touring:
Mids and Tweeters:
Morel Competion Carbon Drivers
Amp:
JL 900/5

Aren't there already numerous threads in the regular 991 forum on upgrading audio? You might want to search and posts in those.

I have found the Musicar threads to be very informative. They have threads with tweeter upgrades, a complete system upgrade for 991.1's (they are working on a solution for 991.2's) and a complete custom system in a 991.1 turbo. They are developing an optical solution to interface with the new MOST protocol of the PCM 4's.
My son and I had the ED experience in May with my GT3 that has the base stereo. I LOVE the car, but the base stereo is TERRIBLE. I will be upgrading my system when the car arrives soon.
