I may just do this!

1. That's just the material the laser cutting shop had.
2. I tried both but I preferred they flexible mylar since it followed the curve of the car.
3. The template has alignment lines on it. I simply aligned the top horizontal line to the trunk lid edge (carbon fiber piece). Or you can align it to whatever you want. Then I aligned the vertical line to the centerline of the car (lid latch, backup camera, etc.). Then I taped it to the car. I think this is all shown in my photos...
4. Yeah, do you not see the photos?
I could be wrong but I think C5 was asking something else for #1 & #2. Here's my interpretation on the answer.

1. Those were cut to create a physical template to ensure correct logo placement. IMO that material is good for flexibility and ease of use.
2. None were applied to the car to leave a 'GT3 logo'. The final GT3 logo is a hard plastic piece that you buy separately and is placed within the template created in #1. You pull off the template once you have applied the actual GT3 plastic characters.

Ah. Yes. This template is just a stencil used to apply the actual GT3 badge you buy separately. You put the template/stencil on the car. Then place the GT3 letters into the stencil for alignment. You don't need the stencil/template I guess. I tried it with just the badge you buy from Suncoast. But it's hard to really get in centered and level. I tried using masking tape to create a horizon line on the bumper but it just didn't come out right. So that's why I made this template.

FourT6 -- wanted to thank you for this. Just got a 991.2 and did the mod today. Have been on many forums for many things over the years -- contributions like this make it 👍.

^^^ Looks awesome thanks, placed my order for one. Did you change the spacing of the letters?

Thanks!

Yeah, I followed the template and made the spacing between the letters roughly equidistant at their tops vs. more space between the T-G as it came from Suncoast/was on the 996/7.

I think I may be a little lower placement-wise than the OP, which wasn't intentional, but I think it looks good. I just used paper and an X-Acto knife vs. laser-cut mylar. I'd say I'm roughly 2/5 down 'spatially' on the flat area between the lights. I used a laser level and looked at multiple angles trying to find what I felt was a reasonable visual/design center.

Amazing! These all look really good I think I'll order one and save the stencil files for later.

When I print the template the letters are smaller than the actual emblem. Was this the case when you print yours? Sorry about all the questions.

You need to use the Photoshop file to get the right scale. Assuming you might not have that, I made you a PDF that should work. You'll likely need to center it on whatever size printer/paper you have, FYI. I tested it, and it worked, but LMK if you need more help.
