Question about "please check oil level" on GT3

Just an FYI, but that "suggestion" comes up relatively frequently. I don't really know what algorithm is used, but I get it probably 4X a day when I'm on track. It definitely has to do with filling up the tank, but may also be how many hours of operation, number of starts, etc.

A bit off topic, but I recently changed the oil on my Touring, and after watching a video on line stating to put 7 quarts of oil in, I got an overfill warning. I actually put in a bit less than 7 quarts, but still had to drain some out. Point is, the system is extremely sensitive. On the plus side, I never had to ad oil in over 6,000 miles.

The oil reset system seems to be related to both opening the trunk and some speed distance calculations. Recently on my rs and also on the cayenne I could not get it to display the oil level. This was after several “short” trips around town. The dealer and the the forum advised to drive at least 40 miles. At around 35 miles - bingo it reset and now works again on both vehicles.
Porsche must have had other ideas when they set up this oil system and I feel they are about as difficult as anything they have ever made in a vehicle that has measurable consumables. That being said I don’t drive mine enough and starting it in the driveway probably doesn’t help the car much anyway.
Drive drive drive!!!
