Hi Does 991.2 GT3 Manual come with Hill Hold Function?

Thanks

Sorry, yes, hill hold function is there. Its much less intrusive than on my 991.1 Carrera S however. It only leaves brakes on for a short period, less than 1 sec with clutch depressed vs before it would almost be difficult to get the car going with the previous hill hold function. Very happy with it.

if you mean it doesn't roll back on hills (applies brakes); yes. but I prefer it didn't.

Interesting. Mine does not have that feature. Or at least it is not functional. 400 miles US car... And no, I'm not complaining. Had it on my 991.1 Carrera S and hated it.

It only works when your sitting with the car in gear. If you have it in neutral, it will roll back. Any feature that helps cut clutch wear is alright by me.

Actually works very well, releases very smoothly as you let out the clutch.

IMO, the hill hold is a good thing since we don't get a hand brake, anymore. There's a few steep hills that I drive daily with traffic lights at the top...

There are certain conditions in order for the hill hold to activate.

if you drive in the streets of San Francisco you’d love it, even with PDK.

I drive the streets of San Francisco and I do love it. Surface must be more than 5% gradient. I usually pull up, clutch in, neutral, clutch out, relax with foot break on. Then, clutch in, first, move left foot from break to clutch, car holds briefly, release clutch and add gas. No roll back.

It holds the brake on for 2 seconds after raking your foot off, which is just about right. As stated above, it works very smoothly. I'm currently driving a Peugeot manual diesel rental car that has it, but it's not nearly as smooth as my Touring.

i find it harder to take off when it's engaged and end up using more gas and clutch vs. when it can roll back; it causes loss of being able to feel engagement.. would be nice to be able to turn it off or on depending on preference.

You can turn it off by not pressing the foot brake as hard. Hill hold only activates when the car is 1) In gear, 2) Clutch all the way in, 3) Foot on brake pedal with force (similar to how launch control works), and 4) On a steep enough grade. Just don't stomp on the brake as hard and hill hold won't activate.
