Question Porsche Post Purchase Correspondence and Roadside Assistance Questions

Questions - Thanks in advance for any answers or shared experiences.....Took delivery on my GT3 on June 2nd and only correspondence is from Sales person and an email survey for dealer satisfaction.

1) After your purchase of your new GT3, what correspondence did you receive if anything from Porsche North America in addition to survey and dealer phone calls?

2) Do you receive a reference or registration card for Roadside Assistance and outline guide for the program?

3) Has anyone used Roadside Assistance for flat tire service on their GT3 and the central locking (CL) wheel? Experiences? Do they have the proper CL tools? Do they just flatbed the car to the nearest dealer or make any attempt at a temporary fix, if possible, etc.

1] various emails
2] no roadside reg., but they have you in the system if you call, confirmed
3] no knowledge

PS roadside in LA way slower in 2018 than prior. [roadside in NZ is vastly superior]

Porsche Assistance just arranges a local flatbed to take the car to nearest dealer. I had a flat in my Turbo with CLs and had to use this service.

Haha, try roadside assistance in France..
i called two dealers on a Friday.. I know I know it’s weekend.

But the soonest they would send a flatbed was “not for weeks” and “next Thursday”

You never know, but it was cold and rainy so doubt it.

Aren’t the tires run flat? Why would you need a CF tool on a road assist tow truck? I would think your insurance coverage could send a truck a lot sooner to get air in the tire and allow you to take the car to he closest dealer or tire company.

What am I missing?

Wow. Given the difficulty of removing a tire with CL one would thing the tires would run flats. Strange.

Run flats are horrid, at least in my experience.

Have run flats on the Corvette GS - Michelin Pilot Super Sport ZP- and they seem to suite the car. Suspension needs to be designed around the use of run flats.

When I owned Ferrari’s they had run flat tires. I just assumed Porsche would have them since we don’t have a spare. Never had an issue with or bothered to ask whether the tires were run flat.
