Porsche Stop-Sale in Europe.. (yeay more for us?)

Looks like a pretty draconian move for Porsche, but the implications seem interesting for OEU now. Do they slow down production or just deliver more inventory to the rest of the world in the meantime until they resolve the situation?

This has been known for awhile. Dealers were informed a month or two ago. It’s a stop sale due to the combined effect of the changeover to WLTP and new 992 model coming on stream. So it’s not a stop build as cars currently in the system will all get built. The sale reps in Europe are a bit upset because it means no sales for 3+ months means no commissions.

I'll believe it when I can verify from creditable newsources and individuals with a known reputation.
I've found no supporting info since people started forwarding links to unheard-of-sites yesterday.

I don't believe this is new news, but they way it is reported in the article suggests it may be - Porsche have always planned a factory shutdown to get ready for the new emissions regs, etc - and they have delivered additional cars to normal supply levels in the last 3 months - so all OPCs in the UK at least, have surplus stock and can't order any new cars for a while. But they have a lot of brand new stock to sell.

Depend if it’s a stop order or stop sale.
if they can sell stock on the forecourt then it’s not new news.
Even then you would normally expect they would be taking orders for future compliant cars. Strange you can’t configure a Sept car?
