I placed an order with US Millworks on 7/7/18. I received a confirmation from PayPal and a shipping notification from US Millworks shortly thereafter. The link with the USPS tracking number still only shows that a shipping label has been created.

I sent an email yesterday to the address on the US Millworks site requesting an update on the order but have not yet received a reply.

In years past, I have ordered 4 tow hook plate mounts from US Millworks and always received them promptly.

I ended up buying a used one off of eBay just to get the half ball. Thanks for reminding me about this, I need to cancel the paypal order. Maybe that will get their attention, assuming they are still around.

The USPS tracking for my US Millworks order now shows that it is out for delivery. The shipping label was created on 7/7 as I said above, but the package was not received by USPS until 7/13. just happy it's finally arriving today.

Hi John, Any long term comments on any damage to the grill of the GT3 with the Carbonio clips? And have you taken it off to inspect to see if there are issues?

What I do is take an old plate holder hit it with a hammer causing bracket to break. Keep it with license plate in the car. If stopped tell the officer someone backed into me and broke my plate holder. Tell them how difficult it is to get Porsche parts on backorder. Works like a charm

It's more than $25 in the socialist hell we call Santa Barbara. As often as I visit the place, I'm surprised I don't get more

Found this on some random site:

"Most of the time, a CVC 5200 violation is issued in conjunction with a moving violation of some sort. A driver is pulled over for speeding, impeding traffic, neglecting to come to a complete stop at a stop sign, signaling improperly—of course, the list of possibilities goes on. If you are stopped for a moving violation and you haven’t properly installed your front license plate, chances are good that the officer will notice the missing plate and cite you in accordance with CVC 5200 along with whatever other ticket is issued.

However, this isn’t always the case. An officer can issue a citation for CVC 5200 whether or not you’re found to be doing anything else wrong. He might see you driving down the road following all the rules, and he can still pull you over for the missing plate. Or your vehicle could be parked and catch the eye of a meter maid, or any enforcement officer, and you could return to your vehicle only to find a citation slipped under one of your windshield wipers.

A ticket for a violation of CVC 5200 costs a minimum of $197 in fines and fees."

Officer would then say, "How is it your plate holder is mangled but your actual plate (which I assume you still have in the car) is perfect"

The fine is a lot more than 25 up here,, I think last I heard it was a couple hundred for the first citation, then double on the second.
Oh and WA and OR love to tag out of state plate violators,, then issue a bench warrant if you don't pay.
Which will give you a live warrant in the 7 western states..

I got a photo radar ticket years ago just before leaving on an extended consulting gig out of my state,,
got pulled over for the warrant in CO. Luckily the cop was understanding and I was able to show him
my expense report stuff to prove I hadn't been home to receive the ticket in the mail.
I actually called the court office while he was there (On speaker) and worked out the details with the court clerk..

Otherwise I was looking at headed straight to jail..
