991.2 GT3 vs 991.1 GT3RS drag race

Agreed, I know a lot of RS owners want to believe a 4.0 is a 4.0, but it's not... The .2 4.0 is on a whole nother level imo!
And if the new RS pulls like this away from the current GT3, it's gonna be awesome!
Best Regards,
Dave

Not surprised; I track my 991.1 RS and have noticed how much stronger these new 991.2 GT3s are as they easily pull away from me out of the turns and onto straights...it’s only under braking and through corners I can reel them in. I can’t wait for my new RS! That motor in the new improved RS with even more HP is going to be epic.

+1 I am astonished by how impressive the .2 engine performs. This engine is one for the books.

Definitely. 540ish - 550ish would make more sense with the Nurburgring time it put down. It is only 9 seconds slower than a gt2rs with the same aero and tires. GT2 RS has 700hp and 550ft/lb of torque.

I am hearing that the .2,in Manual, will beat the .1 RS(PDK) even on the straights.
It is a freakin masterpiece this 4.0 and the best street car I have owned. Sure- it is way more motor than one needs but great having it right behind you.

From a roll, I think the .2 manual coupled with flat upshifts will beat the .2 pdk because more power at the wheels. Especially if you can shift like SCCAForums.

That's wishful thinking IMO..when you consider the PDKS box has a 4.5% lower final drive ratio compared to the Manual, and even lower in gear 5 and 6..
