New member saying hello..
I have followed this website for quite some time. Learning a little here and a little there. Not really quite sure which Porsche should be my first. All that became clear soon as I drove the RS. Looking forward to the continued learning experience and contributing what little time I have with a toddler in tow.
a pic of my recent, I’m the registered first owner which is big plus for me with less than a 1k on the odometer. But it doesn’t really matter as I plan to add a lot more miles to it.
Sorry about the porty potty in the background we are getting work done to the house

They removed the crest, I don’t know why but I asked them to order me a new sticker so that’s being placed next week. I actually don’t mind the stripes. I think it plays well with the dark wheels. When it starts to peel I’ll just yank them off.

Funny thing is, I was contemplating a 458 as I love the NA's and a good buddy of mine owns the Ferrari dealership in town. So it would have been easy. But for some reason my wife detests Ferrari's with a passion and said that there will never be a Ferrari in our garage (That WILL happen just not now, I suppose). So I asked her what was the solution? She said go buy the Porsche. You don't have to tell me twice on that. So I called the dealership and told them I would be picking it up. I get home my wife walks out and says. Can you wrap the car so it's not purple? Can you remove the wing? My jaw just about dropped, everything I love about the car she wanted gone. I told her keep on talking and a Ferrari will join the stables Although, down deep I really wanted the RS over the 458 and I am glad my wife saw it the same way.
Thanks everyone for the kind words,

Welcome aboard! Hope you have thick skin - lots of feisty people on here but also a wealth of knowledge! Best advice - don’t talk about values of Porsche’s if you don’t have thick skin

Sounds like she dictates a lot.
How about she rides her horse or go shopping or whatever she likes and you do your car thing ? and you both are happy ?
