Default PCCB Test Tool purchasing source?

Hello all,

much has been discussed about PCCB's - but one thing is clear - proper maintenance requires monitoring and the tool required to monitor them is a tool from Proceq - multiple eMail's and phone calls have yielded no results so I'm putting it out to the rennlist community.

Does anyone have a source/pricing information for the Proceq PCCB wear tool? https://www.proceq.com/product/carbo...c-brake-discs/

any help is appreciated - if I can find a source maybe we can put together a group buy to bring the cost down.

thanks.

No idea where to get one. But just be aware you need to measure the rotors when they are OFF the car. Seems like more headache than it's worth.

It looks like Snap-on is a re-seller. I think your dealer should be able to get you one as well. They should have one.

You have to buy stuff like this from their resellers. I was curious and got a quote once, seem to recall about $6k. Quick search showed this:

Another reseller you could ask for a quote:

For those interested in how this works here is their marketing video

Another option is to ask your dealer where they got theirs.

For an accurate wear measurement the rotors need to be off the car and placed on a solid wood surface. I was surprised at how much my PCCB's were worn, hence I went to Girodisc. The dealers are sent the tools from Porsche as part of their required must have items. I have also looked for the tool with no luck.

The rotors do not have to be off the car. Proceq has changed the procedure.

Tom.ott@screeningeagle.com is the sales rep for the US market. Tell him Micah sent you and he'll give you a little discount.

Snap on does sell it for $7600

If you want to see how it is used at porsche, I show it in the last minute of this video.
