interesting that AP claims that PAG consumes 85% of the Mg Wheel production volume globally ... I wonder how the Mg wheels compare to the new Turbo S braided CF wheels they are now producing?

I wonder that also.. I wouldn't upgrade to mag.. but I definitely would to carbon for how special and light they are.

I bet their CF wheels (if they can support the demand) will come on 992 GT cars (maybe with Weissach package or just option). Hopefully they keep a reasonable size that would fit 991 cars too (and not 21 or 22" rears)

Porsche's press release said 15,232 Euros including 20% VAT (or about $15,100 USD without tax) when they were announced

https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/prod...ies-14064.html

Initially, it seemed like maybe this was an option price over the price of standard wheels, but then it was explained you get both sets of wheels for that amount with the Turbo S Exclusive...

$15k would be less expensive than Mag and potentially stronger and longer lasting. $38k would be roughly double the cost of Mag wheels (aftermarket from OEM maker BBS)

That link says $22,750 and includes tires...

Offsets seem like they might work with GT3 (but not RS) and use same tire sizes.

OK, thanks. I wonder how the price got so much higher than original report? Maybe it is proving more time consuming to build these than they thought?

The better question is, who is the recipient for the other 15% of Mg wheels.

They tested the process when they do the Mg wheels for the 918 Weissach, now they expanded the program to make wheels for the GT2RS Weissach.

They are behind on the delivery of the carbon fibre wheels. Some customers who ordered it will be getting the wheels separately at a later date.

Curious why you say longer lasting than Mg? Feels like carbon would be more at risk of deterioration than metal/alloy.
