991.2 GTS to 991.1 GT3?

Currently got a 991.2 GTS which I love but deep down really fancy a GT3.
No chance of getting a build in UK for a touring so maybe looking to build enough history with local dealer for future new GT3. That’s presuming they do a 992 NA GT3?
Question is 2017 GTS to a 2013 (27,000 miles GT3? This would help my future goal with the dealer as i’d Also probably get other half a Boxster at same time. Would you do it? Is the GT3 much different?
Thanks
Simon

Hi Simon, YES YES YES!!!! I'd do it in a heartbeat. I've driven and owned most 911 Models since buying my first 911 to come to the U.S. in 1966. They ranged from street models to the 993 GT2
I raced for 10 years in PCA, and other Club racing. My last 991 was a 2012 Carrera S before finally acquiring a 2014 GT3. I presently own a 2014 991 GT3.1, a 2015 TTS, my 6th Turbo, and a Panamera S.They were all great cars, some greater than others, but all thoroughly enjoyable to drive and own. I've also driven the latest models on the Barber Motorsports Track last year as part of Porsche's Master's Driving Course. But none, repeat NONE, has grabbed me as completely as the 991 GT3. IMHO, It has achieved the seemingly impossible goal of being as delightful and effective to drive on the road as on the track, and with 24,000 miles of driving with my wife, who is nowhere close to being a "Car Enthusiast", she is as willing to accompany me and is as comfortable driving in our GT3, as she is in our Panamera or TTS. That is totally different from our previous 2004 996 GT3, which was the only Car in which she was unwilling to accompany me on long drives, complaining of its unbearable (to her) hard suspension, and intrusive wind, mechanical and Tire noises which made listening to the Audio Tapes she loved on long drives impossible."Happy Wife = Happy Life". For me the nimble, light handling of the 991 GT3 made it my preferable Daily Driver and the car we have put the most miles on, of the 5 cars we own. It truly is uniquely in a class by itself. It is now up for sale with my GT3.2 in transit to me. I've driven a friend's GT3.2 and found them modestly improved in power and polish, but a very incremental change over the superb car the GT3.1 remains. It still puts a bigger smile on my face than any other car I have ever owned and I would not have been terribly disappointed if my allocation for a .2 had not come through, especially with the new 10 Year Engine Warranty.

That’s great to know, thanks for the reply. I will book a test in a .1 GT3.....i refuse to pay £50k over list for a .2 GT3
Sounds like you have had some great cars along the way.
Thanks
Simon

Simon,
With prices coming down on the .1 cars and a lot of them to choose from, I dont see how you can go wrong. I am in love with mine and I dont see that changing , ever. There are currently about 70 GT3 .1 cars on Cars Guru, You can have your pic of a lot of low mile , perfect cars at a great price right now.
