Looks bad, wonder if the owner is on here. Cold tires maybe. GT3/GT3rs handle so well compared to most other sports cars, kind of surprised when I see these accidents with them.

Better hitting a tree, than hitting another car with an innocent driver.

Many years ago an ex GF of mine while in college, i'm following behind her in my car, she takes a ramp at more speed than I would have, hit a dip, front end comes off the ground, she panics, loses control and smacks freeway wall. All about about 40MPH. She literally told the cops "something broke int he front end" I responded, yeah, your wheels were off the ground, and that's not good for steering input.

Looking at the tree the car was airborne when it made impact.

They ask stuff like; were the doors unlocked, did the windows go down when under water and the 4 blinkers on and of course look at the bent metal, airbags and stuff.

With accidents like this in their flagship cars Porsche usually requests the black box/data. They do this to help dtermine what could of been caused the accident and to protect themselves from lawsuits. Many people like to blame Porsche for making dangerous cars rather than Driver error. I will put my money that they probably have already contacted the Police.

Back in 2007 in a brand new BMW X5, a woman crossed the yellow line and hit me head on. We were both doing North of 50+. I went airborne in the X5, rolled several times and then hit a tree. Came to a stop and was upside down. I never lost consciousness and no broken bones. BMW contacted me within days to obtain the car, get the police report, go to the scene to take measurements all to assess how the car performed in the incident versus their computer simulations. Wasn’t aware Porsche does this too but there is much knowledge to gain. Since the X5 was a new body style at the time, BMW I am told routinely does this in these types of complete writeoffs. Not one panel on the BMW was usable after the crash. It was a lease, no money down, ordered another one same day as the accident once I left the hospital.
