Musicar Stage III Audio Upgrade - 991 Porsche GT3RS

Thanks for the response. How would you compare the mids and bass with your stage 2 to the bose system? Obviously highs are probably no comparison. Lastly, how much was the stage 2 on the 991.1?
..and how much more does the amp weigh than the stock amp?

Using the factory Sound Package Plus mid and woofer with the new amplifier is still far superior to the Bose components using the OEM amplifier – by a long shot. The pricing is something I'll PM you about. Not trying to hide anything, but we're still refining a few things in our process that might change the final cost a bit, so I don't want to publicly post any pricing until we've locked it down 100%. As far as the weight, our new amplifier is only about 5.7lbs, so it's a very lightweight addition in the long run. The 991.2 with Sound Plus doesn't actually have an external amplifier. Instead they use a high-powered chipset in the PCM unit to drive the speakers directly.

Given that the 991.2 base stereo now uses an amp in the PCM, would it be wise for folks to choose Bose simply to have everything brought out to the passenger seat area (even though it will need an optical converter) for future upgrade? Or is dealing with the PCM amplified outputs no big deal?

I have a set of MusicCar High End 991 dash tweeters for sale. I never opened the box, they are in perfect condition. I decided not to install them since I have a .2 GT3 set to build in October.
Fro Sale $550.00 or Best Offer.

Not going to happen anytime soon
The PCM3.1 Fiber Optics are extremely problematic with the hands-free calling and there's no interface solution on the horizon. Everyone seems to be focusing on the newer platforms and abandoning any development for the .1 applications.
PM coming your way.
We ship internationally. Had a very successful install from a gentleman in South Africa a couple months ago!
They're not on a separate amp, they just have their own discreet channels on the new amplifier. The factory system ties the midrange in the door and the dash tweeter to one amp channel and uses the capacitor attached to the tweeter to cut the lower frequencies out. With this setup we're able to run those speakers independently and tune them properly. We just run wiring straight from the new amp directly to the two dash locations.
The same solution here works great in the 981 platform. We've actually done two GT4s here locally in the last few months. Shoot me an email so I can get you more info on the options!

Can't really say right now since we haven't tested that platform yet. There's a slight chance that the Base Stereo would still need the fiber optic interface, but could end up just using the outputs directly from the PCM. If I had to make an educated guess, the base stereo would be the way to option the car. Save that money on the front end to invest it where it really makes a difference.
They work in the 991.2 as well. You could hang on to them.
