Nice car, nice track, nice vid, nice driving! I salute your patience with some of the cars. Thanks for posting.

I'm just starting to check out track apps. What track app setup are you using? Thanks!

Looks like you had a blast! What a car!

Roll on a bit earlier out of the corners and stay hard on it until you are right on track-out and close to the limit of grip. I find that's a great way to measure myself especially when learning a new track - if you're not at the limit of the track on exit then you've left time on the table.

Hopefully I'll see you on the track sometime. Planning a move to SD area next year hopefully if wife will allow.

Thank you so much!

I am using an Aim Solo DL (DL2 coming out soon), along with their smarty cam.

Takes a min to set it up, but after that pretty cool and I like how the camera turns on when I turn on the Solo, one less thing to remember to do.

Also being a data junkie, I love how I can download lap info and analyze it.

Thanks for the tips.

Just bring the wife out here and she will fall in love with it... Where are you from now?

Hoping that's the case! Her family is in Europe so the West Coast is kind of a big deal to be that far away from her family. Currently we live in Bermuda, but I race (race is maybe too kind a word) in the eastern and southern states.

Very cool... The weather here is amazing, along with the people are very down to earth unlike Los Angeles for example where the pace is much faster and the people are not as friendly.

Moved here in 93 from Los Angeles and very happy I did, and so will you be

I just started to look. I had been track driving my C4S for 16 years, and my track app was my butt for all those years. . First track event for the GT3 will be in May, so have a lot of time. Here's my so far very short list of possibilities:
1. Porsche Track Precision App with my IPhone.
2. Harry's Lap timer, also with my IPhone, hooked to Kiwi OBD.
3. Yours: SOLO DL with SmaryCam
4. Have a GoPro Hero 5, but don't know what to hook up with it yet.

Anyhoo, will likely use my very precise and totally dependable Butt App for a while before I get anything beyond the already in there Porsche App. LOL

1. Porsche Track Precision App with my IPhone. (don't see anyone using this and also have it on my car but I have not heard great things about it)
2. Harry's Lap timer, also with my IPhone, hooked to Kiwi OBD. (I used to use Race Chrono (Android only), but you need the external GPS to make it work good since phone GPS is not to accurate.)
3. Yours: SOLO DL with SmaryCam (Cost the most, and takes a min to setup but by far the best option)
4. Have a GoPro Hero 5, but don't know what to hook up with it yet. (Used to use a GoPro which works well if you just want to see video and the quality of the video is the best, but adding the data overlay is a real hassle, and very time consuming. Do you have a roll bar in your car?)

Sweet! Think I saw you in the garage when I was talking to Mickey.

Chuckwalla is going places, looking forward to the new track they are building with longer straights, should be a game changer.
