Cup Car Exhaust on a .2 GT3/RS
I was told a cup exhaust is the only option that won’t invalidate the warranty because it’s an oem part.
Has anyone heard one? Bad drone?
I am not sure if Porsche manufacture the exhaust, but I assume so. Some exhausts I think are made by Akrapovic, but not sure about this one.
Advice and thoughts are much appreciated.
Thanks

I believe they do, and believe it or not, I think it's actually the same unit that's been around for quite some time...as in 997 era...you obviously lose your valves and I think it comes with the right bypass pipes otherwise to make it happen. It was only like 1800 ish actually for the muffler, which was surprising to me. I'm SURE motorsports has a few worked up different ones.

Cup car exhaust is vague, which version are we talking about? For the 991 variant there are 3 options (same exhaust as the 997's).
Supercup (middle photo) - CJ is right in that your neighbors will come after you with pitch forks and so on; but it would be great!
Center Muffler (lower photo) - side muffler delete, its loud, but definitely not like ^
Side mufflers (top photo) - haven't heard it personally, but can't imagine it changes the db a whole lot

Akrapovic's Sport Cup exhaust is essentially a Cup system, albeit a bit quieter. M&M makes similar as others have indicated, although there standard system is SS vs Ti in Akrapovic. I plan to go with one of these systems and suspect that as long you find a dealer to install it you should be covered, but you never know until you put the theory to test.

My friend had cup car exhaust only a matter of weeks, & took it off b/c of bad drone. Under power it was loud & sounds good, however driving around town & street speed, he got tired of the drone.

if you have access to a Motorsport acct.. ^^^ in bottom picture order part #s for 17-23 in the diagram. The muffler to my knowledge is the same for street or cup. drops 35-40 lbs..
Cups in select euro series have all 3 mufflers to meet db levels

Ran 120+ laps this weekend on the supercup system in the 991.2 and my ears are still ringing on Tuesday. DO NOT. It's insanely loud and I'm seriously looking for better insulating radio earplugs or I'll go deaf by the end of this season...
The "standard" cup system is effectively just a side muffler bypass plus blockoff plates on the center muffler. Go with that if you want the decibels. Longevity on your center muffler will suffer--expect replacement esp. if you track heavily.
