A good number of 18 GT3 up for sale
Not sure if there is an explanation to it or if I’m just paying more attention to it, but it seems like there are a lot more new and slightly used GT3 out there now.
It almost looks like you can find silver, white, black etc new or with under 1K out there with nice specs now.
Do we know why?
does it have anything to do with the GT3RS that just came out and these guys that are getting the allocations are selling their GT3?

Ive been following to. Ridiculous markups so far evein in the South. Im going to wait for the hysteria to die down and see if I can get one for no more than 10k over.
Someone who has been around longer than me can confirm but I bet this is typical shortly after launch of a GT car. RS will probably be even worse.

I have a down payment at my dealer and for the time being I got a new GTS to play with. But with the selection that I see now, I’m sure a nice car for not too bad of a premium can be found.
Most are 20K over MSRP slightly used and 25K for new on the lot.

Yes, but if you find the car that you want, and you are spending 175K on it. 15-20K extra isn’t that bad when you really think about it.
I personally think they with these amount of GT3 out there in the last couple of weeks, some will not get the full 20K over for the used cars, and if that is the case, it could be a little more realistic.

Many of the used GT3s will sit for > year before selling, per the VIP protocol. I know of three locally that are just sitting at dealers, not even for sale.

IMHO flippers & some dealers are greedy and follow the adage "it's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it" which sucks for enthusiasts who just want to own and drive the car
At a dealership last year, an SA told me of a guy who took delivery of his spec'd sapphire blue GT3 and turned right around and asked the SA if they would buy the car back at a premium
Likely most who were presented with an opportunity to get a .2 GT3 @ MSRP took the allocation whether they really wanted the car or not and are now likely testing the waters for a flip

Perhaps people are trading in or selling to cover payments for new gt3rs...once people realize the ridiculous adm and the limited slots/builds for the rs, people may start looking at gt3 as a better bargain.

That's ashame... not to even drive it or hardly. Because it's so fun and worth the ride..... I have over 1,700 miles on mine as of today and that's while taking turns & shuffling through my other cars as well. I have friends that say why don't you consign or trade it in early for the 3RS? Or park it indefinitely to preserve miles. I'm just like efff no. Now is not the time to dispose it and wait & wait again.... plus I bought this to enjoy... not to be a garage ornament.

At best these people are only breaking even after you include the 8-12 sales tax and plate cost.Dealers are the only people who are actually profiting on these cars.

These are guys that never wanted the car, and beat the crap out of it. Sell it back to the dealer and they will split the ADM if the car is sold as consignment. By summer you will see cars all over, and your pick if you’re ok with buying a slightly used car? The RS will be a different game this go around with potential low volume, and if you can’t get a GT3 don’t even sniff the RS.

My .2GT3 had an MSRP of around $170K. When you include sales tax, clear bra, and registration, I've got about $192K into the car. Even if I could get $200K for my car (extremely unlikely), that seems like a lot of work and risk for $8K.
