991.2 GT3 RS allocation thread

It did look authentic. :
But I am serious about German auto manufacturers reducing allocation to the US. Let me explain. Presently the EU is deciding on tariffs for several US products to retaliate. Trump has stated if they do, he will raise tariffs on European cars. European auto companies like Porsche don't need the aggravation of trying to price the cars taking into account tariffs and possible other duties he may impose. He is totally unpredictable. They may say, China, France, the UK and so on are begging for allocations. Why not redirect the allocations and not have to deal with Trump? Far fetched? Don't underestimate the possibility.

I think most of us are going by the past. The .1RS was produced in 2015 after Geneva and built through Dec 2016, the .2GT3 was produced in 2017 after Geneva and built will be built through Dec 2018, so it's fair to think that the .2GT3RS will be produced in 2018 after the Geneva and built through late 2019.

Same here. We looked together to see if there were any allocations given, or even builds into the system. ZERO. It wouldn't even let us look for builds in 2018. It was loaded into the system for 2019 though. His thoughts were that they are building European cars first before the Emissions law changes and then satisfying the USA car market...

ALLOCATION FACTS
P.AG SELLERS AND PRODUCTION PLANNERS AND MATERIALS BUYERS KNOW:
EU-NEED TO MAKE AS MANY CARS AS WE CAN BEFORE SEPT EMISSIONS REGS KICK IN
USA – ???? DUE TO POTENTIAL NEW TARRIFS AND HOW IT WILL AFFECT DEMAND AND LOCKED IN ORDERS ETC …FROM 2.5 % TO 5% NO ISSUE….BUT AT 25% A DIFFERENT DEAL
CDN/ROW-STABLE AND HUNGRY
POSSIBLE CONCLUSION-SO LETS HOLD OFF ON USA ALLOCATIONS UNTIL WE HAVE MORE CLARITY RE TRADE ISSUES

Does anyone know for a fact that PAG will definitely fit the new Particulate filter to the GT3 RS, to allow a further round of deliveries to the EU(inc UK) after the September 1 2018 emissions deadline. This is important as if they won't bother due to insurmountable re-engineering issues there will be no second run for the EU(UK)..

yep. My dealer already has his allocations for this year...and knows the number of RS they will receive in 2019. Both are extremely low numbers you can count on one hand. Indeed fewer cars than the allocations they received for GT2 RS. It’s going to be a very rare beast.
