Perhaps the decision to not make MY 2019 GT3's had something to do with similar regulations they are facing with petrol engines?

The answer to this question will tell us all a lot. Not sure when it will get answered.

I love how they couch it as if they are doing it in reaction to market trends, as if it was planned, yet the production was stopped immediately and orders are being cancelled.

Not shocking

Still unsold inventory of 'new' Cayennes from the Dieselgate times

Such a shame, as the diesel's drive so well and are so economical. A buddy told me his Cayenne diesel regularly got over 30MPG. I've have a 2009 335d that I bought new and with over 100k, it still is a great driving car. I was never a BMW fan, but bought this car strictly for it's engine.

Agreed. I was sincerely hoping the diesel might find its way into the forthcoming Cayenne model. The 958 diesel is a great machine.

Has anyone here purchased a cayenne diesel and have any feedback? Seems like a perfect real-world Combo.

I've been debating trading my X5M for a diesel....love the X5M but ride is one the firm side and hitting triple digits is way too easy. going to check them out at my local.
