Is non-PTS the new PTS?

Joking- will be interested to see how many are out there compared to years prior based on the higher cost. Probably mentioned on other threads but I wonder if Porsche has made changes to it's capacity for PTS along with the 991.1 issues where PTS was less available for other reasons.

Same thing can be said for LWB seats. Getting a .2 with sofas will be harder.

Depends - if you have a PTS, then its very exclusive; if you don't, then its everywhere.
Probability to find ACTUAL production numbers or data points is low, but Porsche definitely accommodated certain things such as LWB's/PTS options. Different tastes as we all know.
Debating going with a 991.1 as Im still dealing with this nightmare ordering process on a .2 for fall production - and would potentially look for a nice spec'd .1 (white or blue in color, possibly LWB's). To be determined.

I'm not sure if you knew this or not but in addition to the added cost they ended up discontinuing it indefinitely to adjust production output on the 991.2 cars...

With the GT3 being the only manual NA Porsche at the moment, there are plenty of buyers that want the car for use on the street vs. the track as well. So, if you're a fan of natural aspiration and rowing your own gears, you've gotta look to the GT3 regardless of it's track heritage and worthiness or whether you care about "lap times" and the such. Want a manual NA Porsche? You have one option. I have a feeling there are a lot more "street car" buyers of the .2 than there were of the .1 or earlier GT3's, if only because of that. I plan on taking long drives in mine and so I wanted something that wasn't only comfortable for me but for my passengers, which is why I went with the 18-ways. On the production stats thread, ~25% of GT3's are being spec'd with the 18-ways. I wonder if that's up / down from the 991.1?

I should note that the really rare seats are the 4 ways. If you look at Camsporsche/Loess numbers, they are only 5% (72% LWB, 23% 18 way). I am the most street car buyer possible (never track, drive slow, commuter not weekend car) and I got LWBs. Lol.

Interesting. So they will be harder to get, making the 18-ways the only real choice to the LWB seats. It will be interesting to see how this shakes out in the marketplace.

Yana said that almost no yellow specs come across her desk. It’s no add cost and rare!

I was just talking about this to mooty, when I was in the 996 GT3 clan we talked about track setups, which tires, what tracks, adjusting the supsension, track mods etc. In the 997 GT3 we talked about aero improvements, getting a Cup wing over the stock wing, tires sway bars, do you change oil between runs. In the 991 GT3 the most popular thread is paint to sample(outside of the manual vs the PDK). Me I don't really care what color the car is I just want to hear that motor at 7,000-9,000 RPMs

I guess I’ll be building a rare spec for my .2 GT3 then I as will be getting 4 way seats as I find them more comfortable than the 18 ways, they weigh quite a bit less than the 18, and they’re free!
