Too bad Porsche doesn't allow for custom caliper colors. Unless your last name is Piëch. PCCB's in yellow is great, but for the steels it'd be nice to have the option. Does anybody know, will they ever offer the new Tungsten Carbide - Porsche Surface Coated Brake (PSCB) on models other than the Cayenne?

Now that I run the ST rotors, more and more and painting their brake calipers when they replace the cracking pucks with Ti pucks.
The cooler temps keep them nice and pretty :-)

Unfortunately, brake caliper color is still a huge part of Porsche's marketing strategy. If you want red brakes, well you better not buy a base model! The red are super sporty. Oh, you want yellow calipers, that is an extra $10k. If you want green you have to buy a Hybrid, and if you want white, it's Cayenne only. Oh, and if you want black on any of the higher models, not gonna happen, as that would "dilute" the car.

Of course, if you have spent millions with Porsche, they may give you the grace of "possibly" doing a custom color for you, but be prepared to shell out!

Maybe one day, Porsche will offer caliper color choice, maybe even at least for the PCCB's. Until then, the most cost effective solution (granted, an annoying one) is to have them painted to your spec on the aftermarket.

My guess is the next step is calipers in exterior color: $2410

Then after a few years calipers in deviated color (none of which you want): $3840
