LOL, yeah, it can be as bad as finalizing a color on a new build. My first go around I screwed up, I didn't want my car to be too loud and obnoxious, so I went with a catted sport header(not long tube catted) with side muffler delete pipes. It sounded ok, but just wasn't what I had in mind and then I heard my buddies RS with the long tube race header setup and I was sold, had them installed on my 16 .1 and loved them, sound was killer and the bonus was the extra HP and TQ, really felt it in the midrange. Good luck with your final decision.

I’ve called Fabspeed twice. Once they said I will reauire a tune for no CEL another time they said I wouldn’t. I want to hear directly from them to see if they have improved the product not just assume from a picture on a forum or trust one persons opinion. Your car and your buddy’s car could be fine, but what about others? Dundon guarantees no CEL. The questions I’m asking aren’t ridiculous. Why are you trying to attack someone that just wants to make an informed decision? I will be purchasing an IPE exhaust for my rear section next monyh and either Fabspeed or Dundon headers after. Dundon headers are 2k more, so that is why I am curious to see if the Fabspeed satisfies my needs.

1. Are these headers new or the same as the ones before?
2. Are they made out of 321SS
3. Are there o2 bungs that eliminate CELs. If there are any CEL’s can we return the product. The Dundon o2 bungs look much larger
i could be wrong but I thought Dundon didn’t recommend AM exhausts (e.g GMG, Sharkwerks etc) with their long tube headers due to pressure/cracking issues. I thought they recommended their own exhaust or at minimum an exhaust using 321SS steel to handle the added pressure. I would confirm before you buy the IPE.

Yes you can! My favorite set-up is the Competition Long Tube Headers, Valved Side Muffler Bypass and OEM Muffler - sounds awesome

They're T304 mandrel-bent Stainless along along with Burnes Stainess Merge Collectors/Helical Valves.

The power improvement (+38whp/26ft-lbs on a 991.1) and sound enhancements alone are worth it

Typically the dealer would have to prove that any aftermarket upgrades caused the issue that you have in order to void/not cover a claim, which with exhaust upgrades, is pretty uncommon. Plus, the Header install is pretty straightforward and non-invasive and can easily be reverted to stock at any time.

Is this version any different to the .1 version or are you just reintroducing the same thing? Thanks
Drdonger,

I want to be straightforward with you, without a tune and without primary cats, there is always a chance of a Catalyst Efficiency CEL . How much of a chance is dependent on the vehicle/application.

If you run O2 Spacers w/Mini-Cats, there is a slim chance of a CEL. The 991's are a lot less sensitive than other applications and if you are after not having a CEL, we have had many 991.1/991.2 GT3/RS owners run this set-up with O2 Spacers with no Check Engine Light. However, we can not guarantee no CEL as some cars are more sensitive than others. The only thing that is ever 100% able to prevent the triggering of a Catalyst Efficiency CEL is via ECU Tuning.

We have verified our Competition Long Tube Race Headers/Side Muffler Bypass to fit on an 2018 991.2 GT3 - just wanted to announce them for the .2 crowd

Please let me know if there are any questions!
