Good to know I’m not the only one. I’ll just acclimate to the rock tumbler sounds. Thanks guys!

I had a metallic rattle too. I checked the heat shields and diffuser, but the noise was still there when the car became hot. Dealer kept telling me it was normal and part of the RS charm, however that's BS. I traced the sound to the passenger side-muffler. After a second visit to the dealer (I asked them to put it on the hoist and use a stethoscope) they agreed that was where the rattle was coming from and they replaced it under CPO. Noise is now gone and my OCD is at peace

Are y’all hearing the rattle from the inside of the car or outside or both. I hear a rattle inside, which figured was the pdk based on other posts. Nothing outside of the vehicle sounds off.

Update on my manual .2GT3, which has no side mufflers or center muffler. Turns out the fizzy, metallic rattle that sounded like it was coming from the rear of the car was actually the little ashtray in the center console. Easily fixed.

Now- I did have some drone around 4500-5000 if you are diving in that range at a steady pace. Very livable but I have heard some journalists mention this, as well.

Now - I did put on a different Rear Bypass today and also disconnected hose to valve and plugged it. Meaning- valves are always open now( exhaust button no function because always on). Exhaust is loud as heck and love it. What I am now seeing is that transition at 3800 is very smooth and subtle now(great thing). But - I get some Drone only between 2000 and 3000 rpm. At 3000 it disappears. I will see how I feel in 2 months because very easy to reverse and activate the exhasut button again. I am thinking there is a very good reason the exhaust button exists to eliminate that low rev drone- Could also be wrong
Forgive the old post bump, but took the car out of a quick lunch drive and the colder temps made me incredibly sensitive to the cars "quirks".

Mine has the same rattle, same location... did you have the dealer repair? Or did this end up being a DIY?

Anyone else have the driver seatbelt retractor vibration at the same RPM (4k'ish)?

I'll give into the clutch just being insanely light, but the throttle transition (both on and off) around 3500-4500 is just snapping.

Are you describing this effect is numbed when the exhaust bypass in open full time?

I just got my car and drove it for about 25 miles 3440 on the clock. Definitely hearing a noise that's described in this thread, the ash tray rattle was addressed prior to me gettin a car (on a receipt from Champion Porsche).
What should I do next is it a warranty item, 1-30-2019 was the original purchase date.

Since day 1 I have this bad metallic vibration on thick over, only when the engine is hot; it’s not a rattle from the rear diffuser and it doesn’t seem the exhaust.
The dealer stated it comes from the engine case and opened a “ticket” with Porsche...now I’m waiting an answer.
Here it is https://youtu.be/pSuJXnGZxpY

Also I have a deep drone from 3800 rpm on in every gear (didn’t go over 4500 as I’m running in) in every...and some “clonk” from the rear when passing on some potholes, I thought it was the rollbar but a friend of mine has the same noise on a Touring Gt3 so not the case.

I’m wondering if it could be an engine mounts issue (new and electric on this car respect the hidraulic ones of 991.1) giving all the various noises...can’t think that this 180K euros car has problems at least in 3 different areas !!!!

Any opinion/help is well accepted.
Hi There, same noise here.. only when the engine is warm. By reading all the threads difficult to get if the noise is normal or not.. but apparently common... Once you start revving no more noise. my guess is injection
