Default Almost bought 991.2 gt3

i almost convinced myself that it was a good idea to buy the new gt3 for $25K over msrp. I currently drive a 991.2 carrera s and I really enjoy the car and daily drive it. I’ve done 1 DE at palm beach raceway and was impressed at how much grip it had and had a blast.

I keep playing with the Porsche configurator more than I should. I’m wondering how may others
find themselves trying to convince themselves that gt3 over msrp is a good prospect despite already have a 911 and love it?

Here’s a link to the car

Get it. Last NA GT3. Get a manual too. You wont regret it later.

...but I promise you that you WILL regret not buying one.

ehh i would wait. the fever will die down once a bunch hits the market. then gt3rs fever hits and a lot of gt3's will go up for sale pushing the price down. if you really want one and can deal with a few hundred or thousand miles on them there are quite a few for sale. your c2s is a great car too!

There is a massive hype and aura around the GT3 - up to you to decide if it's worth it to you or not, different for each of us

I will say that car does look spec'd well, but for a pre-built car I would also look at .1 GT3s and you could end up saving quite a bit of money unless the manual is a must for you

Don't forget you still have one hell of a car many dream of with your C2S - I remind myself of that driving my C4

I’ve chased my tail wanting to get the Touring. Then I realize when I’m driving my S, where in the hell, besides the track, am I going to enjoy 9,000 rpm!

It really depend on what $25K means to you. Or think... in a few years.....will you look at the extra $xxx in your bank account and say... yeah I'm glad I didn't pull the trigger.

And your S looks just like a Touring. No need to go that route.

If you are having second thoughts, then, no, don't go for the GT3. It wouldn't be worth the MSRP, certainly not the ADM, to you. Enjoy your current 911. It is a wonderful car.

Honestly if you can afford it....buy it.....drive it.....don't look back.....$25K over is a little heavy and you could probably get it down.....question is at the end of the day is the $5K, $10K, $15K going to negatively impact you long term.....probably not.....but missing out on owning the car might.....just my $0.02

Knowing Braman, surprised they aren't asking for more... Based on prior experience, not an operation I trust nor would ever pledge my business, let alone pay ADM to. Be that as it may, as others have mentioned, shop around, you can def do better than 25K over, and probably find a car closer to your desired spec (this car doesn't have buckets nor PCCBs, not sure where you stand on those, and of course exterior color preference).

Who knows if the ADM 'hype' will continue as strong as it has been to date, there are definitely plausible factors supporting both arguments whether it will persist/fade.

Smile Just say "No."

If everyone did, the world would be a better place w/o ADM.

I offered $15K above msrp and they woundn’t budge. I decided my S is more than enough. I test drove a 2015 991.1 gt3 and wasn’t as impressed as I thought i would be. I might be in the minority but i really like the new turbo engines, sounds isn’t as good as the prior NA but the low troque and power more than make up for it
