Thanks for the kind words everyone. I went for a drive along the coast this morning and got a chance to get familiar with the car. My take on it thus far is that it feels much more planted than its predecessor and that the four wheel steering makes a BIG difference and is very confidence inspiring. You could tell that the engineers aimed to build a car that had the same brute force feel of the previous V12 but felt more connected with the driver. Some of the quirks that you basically grew to accept (abrupt exhaust valve opening at 4000 RPM) and the incredibly muted engine sound below that range have been addressed. The engine and the exhaust note are louder and more visceral throughout the rev range, and it's actually difficult to tell when the flaps are opening. Similarly, the F12 had lots of unusual air swooshing sounds that came when throttle was lifted that had to do with exhaust back pressure regulation. This is no longer perceptible.

The seats are entirely redesigned and you can see from the side bolsters that they really hug you and give you a much more suitable sports car feel than the less supportive seats of its predecessor. The shifts happen MUCH faster, and although I haven't approached redline on it yet....the engine sounds much louder near its 8900 RPM redline compared to 8500 RPM on the F12.

This feels like a car that can keep up in the esses and not just dominate on the straights. If anyone has been on the fence about getting one..... just do it and don't look back.

What is that bodywork hanging in the wall in the first picture to?

Thanks! Props to my paint protection film installer who took the picture and sent it to me.

I think you may be referring to an extra rear bonnet for my friend's F40 on the wall.

Congrats and lovely combo. Nothing like the sound of a V12 symphony.

This is undoubtedly the best supercar yet devised by the human race..And you my friend have specced its colour combo to perfection IMO..This is no mean feat bearing in mind the endless plethora of colour combos available from Ferrari's exhaustive colour combos palette.
I'm normally not a jealous type of guy, however in this instance i must admit to the green eyed monster rearing its ugly head..!!
Now i must dash to stick my head in a bucket of ice cold water..

Simply incredible, what a spec.

That blue with the silver wheels is fantastic.

Congratulations!

Just want to leave this here. If you are thinking about paying a big premium on a GT2RS this is what you can get instead.

OP, great spec, don't like the red interior and the blue together, but it doesn't look bad. Congratulations!

beautiful!

but if I walked into that garage, I'd take the keys to the 997.2 RS and leave the Fiat behind
